Founder, Director and ESL Teacher, Steve has always been passionate about language and culture ever since starting travelling at age 7.
Becoming an English teacher was a logical conclusion for me as I needed a job that connected me with foreign cultures and gave me the flexibility to travel.
Steve founded Convo in Naples Italy, in 2007, with the aim of uniting locals and expats through English conversation. The Community became hugely popular, increasing in size and number of social gatherings per week, eventually leading to the development of the academic side of the school
We have never wanted to be anything like a traditional school. We believe in learning through real life interaction with people, combining one’s personal interests and motivations with language learning. That’s what creates best results, for children and adults.
Convo believes everyone should be able to communicate in English in order to obtain more personal and professional opportunities, anywhere in the world. Knowing 2+ languages has become a minimum requirement in the corporate world today, so we know how important our role is.
